Customer required a relining of a long through finisher in a cast polyurethane. Previously relined with spray Pu customer was seeking improved life from the lining so a moulded polyurethane material was selected.

Large polyurethane bend stiffeners manufactured from a polyether system are ideally suited to a marine environment. The 70 kg moulding is produced in a single pour to ensure no knit lines. Piggy back saddles are also a speciality product manufactured by Lima Envec.

This post describes the relining of a William Boulton FM 10 . The process involves removing the old worn lining, grit blasting the work chamber back to base metal.
Then a suitable steel mould tool is suspended inside the work bowl and liquid polyurethane poured into the void between the steel work bowl and the mould tool. The next stage is to remove the mould tool and fit any doors or drains. Finally the outside of the FM 10 is painted to meet customer specification.

Lima Envec specialise in custom pu moulding. A client required a one off blasting table lining with polyurethane. The project involved producing tooling, and a pu lining to withstand the blasting environment. In conjunction with the client Lima produced a stainless steel table with a Polyurethane lining.

Lima Envec won the order to line 8 off half tanks. The tanks are part of a large washing plant used to separate copper from other materials. The tanks were coated with a 4mm thick lining to protect against wear and corrosion.
The tanks in the 3 stages, new, blasted, and finished.
In addition to the tanks a large scroll and flights were coated.
Customer required the inside of a large wet back booth which was leaking water lining with polyurea. The unit was too large to remove from site so Lima envec were contracted to carry out the works on site.

The substrate then subjected to a chemical bonding agent and sprayed with Polyurea spray. The new 6 mm thick polyurea lining seals all the pin holes and forms a chemical resistant waterproof barrier.

This picture illustrates the final coating. A seamless water proof chemically resistant lining. The works were carried out over an 8 hour shift and the tank put back in service the same day.
