Bowl relining service

ST 22 proir to relining

A regular customer runs a number of Rosler ST 22 polishing machines and periodically the machines wear out the tough polyurethane linings.

The process of relining the bowl is described as follows:

The machine bowl only comes to us for reline .
The hole is apparent in this photograph.

The old worn polyurethane lining is removed manualy. We do not burn out the old lining as this can distort the steel shell.

Polyurethane Spray

Spray polyureathane

Before Polyurethane spray (grit blasted)

Polyurethane spray coating is a service offered by Lima Envec. High build coatings are achieved when polyurethane is sprayed onto steel. This process is ideally suited to the coating of large complicated shapes where the cost of a mould tool would be prohibitive.

The hopper is ready for a 6mm thick polyurethane coating.

Milling Vessel Lined with Wear Resistant Polyurethane

This post describes the internal lining of a vessel. A customer required a 6mm thick polyurethane lining in order to protect the substrate from wear, and to ensure that the product would not be contaminated with metal from the vessel. A polyurethane spray applied coating was used to line the vessel and provide a membrane.

Spiral roller coated with polyurethane

This project describes the coating of a spiral roller with 85 shore polyurethane. A customer required a tough coating applying to a fabricated roller. The initial tooling costs involved impeded the progress of the project. Lima Envec offered to spray apply polyurethane rater than produce a mould tool.

This course allowed the project to move forward and the roller is undergoing trials.

Lima Envec specialise in the relining of metal finishing machines. This post illustrates the quality of a cast polyurethane (Pu) liner and in particular the fit of the dam flap within the work chamber is worthy of note.

This lining is 4o mm thick and a full overhaul of the offload mechanism has been carried out.

Sprayable Polyurethane

The Limathane range of spray polyurethane coatings has been specifically designed for the one off items or complex shapes, where tooling prices are prohibitive.

These 100% elastomer coatings offer outstanding protection against abrasion and corrosion and for sound reduction applications.

Remarkably tough and hardwearing, these abrasion resistant coatings are available in a choice of standard colours and can be applied to a range of substrates, such as steel, aluminium, GRP, wood and even concrete.

Features include:

  • No tooling costs
  • Thicknesses from 1mm – 25mm typically
  • Excellent abrasion resistance and tear strength
  • Excellent adhesion to most substrates
  • Seam free, continuous coatings
  • Operating temperatures from – 40° to + 80° Centigrade

Hoppers and Feeder Trays Coated in Polyurethane

Lima Envec coat hoppers and feeders in polyurethane. Where wear and noise are issues polyurethane spray provides a tough durable lining. There is no requirement for a mould tool as the material is spray applied and built up in many layers. The resulting coating is a seemles lining with no limit on thickness. A range of hardness and colours are available.
